Poulan P2500 String Trimmer Review

The Poulan P2500 String Trimmer is a powerful garden instrument that uses a flexible rotating monofilament line. It is hand held, and has a grazing head at the end of a straight shaft with an adjustable handle. This string trimmer can be used for cutting grass, weeds, edging driveways, and other places a lawnmower can’t reach. The Poulan P2500 is powered by a 25cc 2 cycle gas engine, a 17” cutting path, and weighs 9.8 pounds.

This trimmer really lends itself to being used by pretty much anyone. Someone like me, a novice who just wants to clean up around the yard, would be able to get the hang of it in a snap. It could also be used in professional lawn care. This string trimmer has a lot power, and is able to keep going for long stretches of time.

There are many perks to owning the Poulan P2500. It has a quick snap spool replacement should the string break. It is more mobile than an electric, and you won’t have to worry about getting tangled in a cord. Being a string trimmer, it is MUCH less dangerous than a whacker with a blade, because the line will flex if it hits something hard, whereas a blade would chip.

One con, however, is that it could release some gas emissions into the environment, even though it is supposed to be one of the more economical gas trimmers.

All in all, this is a great piece of machinery. Plenty of torque to get the job done.
